About Us

Formed by Richard T. Dading and Joseph M. Marques in 1987, Dading, Marques & Associates combined the firms of Richard T. Dading, Inc. and Universal Land Surveyors, Inc. This began a land surveying firm with a combined service record of 49 years.

Our firm is licensed to practice land surveying in the state of Louisiana. Along with the support of qualified field and office personnel we are able to provide many types of land surveying services including: boundary, topographical, mortage, flood, rural, route and right of way surveys to mention a few. We presently have five full time survey crews.

Our equipment is state of the art, and this includes three total stations, data collectors and GPS system. In addition, our drafting department is equipped with computer capabilities which include Auto Cad 2013.

Richard T. Dading

Land Surveyor

Mr. Dading is licensed in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. He has been surveying since 1964, and his experience ranges from surveys of United States Government sectionalized lands to construction layout to topographic and boundary surveys. More recent projects would be topographic surveys of Iberville and Lafitte Housing Developments and ALTA/ACSM land title surveys of rather large plantations in the New Orleans area.

Mr. Dading is a member of the Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi societies of professional land surveyors and is past president of the Louisiana Society of Professional Surveyors District One. He has been invited to give numerous seminars on land surveying, and has also been called on to testify as an expert witness in many court cases as an expert in the field of land surveying.
